Report: Cubs May Be Closing In On Jorge Soler
March 7, 2012 3 Comments
(WSCR) According to a report, the Cubs may be on the verge of signing 19-year-old old Cuban prospect Jorge Soler for $27 million.
The report indicates Soler is often compared to his countryman Yoenis Cespedes, who signed with the A's this offseason. The difference, however, is age. Cespedes is 26, while Soler is only 19 and could be developed in the Cubs' organization.

So Epstein has started the Cubs’ rebuilding process ? I wish him the best !
He wishes to refer to it as the “building” process, as it is a continuous goal, but let’s get real. It’s a rebuilding year with higher than usual possibilities with how far they can go versus, say, the Astros or Orioles. They have the talent, it’s just up to how quick and strong they can develop. Thanks for commenting again Alan!
I’m looking at the division and I can only see the Cards’ and Brewers as being really competitive (that’s if Braun is off the sauce) . I think it’s going to be a “two horse race” between the ” two” ! Mind you I don’t know what to make if the Reds .
